The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.
- Mark Van Doren
My name is Ashley Rosenhek and I am a recent graduate from McGill University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kindergarten and Elementary School Education.
I have always enjoyed working with children, however, over the course of my program and my field experiences my passion for teaching has grown tenfold. I am reminded that I am in the right profession, every day, when I witness the excitement in children’s eyes when they have learned something new, the grins on their faces when they are questioning and discovering the things around them and the hands that wave eagerly in the air with something new and exciting to share.
This portfolio should paint a picture of who I am as a teacher, what my teaching philosophy is, what my educational goals are, and it should demonstrate the essence of my teaching style. I am very eager to embark on a new chapter in my life where I can become part of a teaching team that will allow me to share my strengths and face new and exciting challenges.
