Professional Development
Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. ~Chinese Proverb
Learning is an ongoing process, and I think that we learn from, and alongside our students, our peers, and our fellow colleagues each and every day. As teachers, it is one of our main duties to partake in continuous research through the use of books, research articles, the web, and by attending workshops and seminars, in order to gain knowledge about new teaching strategies or material that could positively assist our diverse students in their learning process. Professional development also means that it is our ongoing duty to continuously reflect on our daily teachings, in order to identify what works and what does not, so as to adapt and differentiate strategies, in order to aid each learner in their learning process.
